IEN Services

  1. IEN will supply information regarging ophthalmologists in the U.S. Japanese ophthalomologists to make appropriate referrals to their patients.
  2. IEN's representative office in Tokyo will distribute application and diagnosis forms to potential patients in Japan.
  3. After receipt of application form and diagnosis form with ophthalmologist's signature from patient, IEN's representative in Tokyo will contact the Doctors in the U.S. to determine the most convenient schedule for the patient. After consideration of the schedule of the U.S. ophthalmologist and availability of tissue from the eye bank, IEN will make every effort to match the patient's schedule as close as possible to the requested date on the application.
  4. IEN will use the diagnosis and recommendation of the Japanese ophthalmologist to request the U.S.A. ophthalmologist to order tissue from the eye bank in advance of the patient's arrival.
  5. IEN will arrange all airline reservations and provide access to a travel agent in the U.S.A or in Japan where the patient may purchase a reasonable roud-trip ticket from Tokyo to Denver Colorado or San Jose, California, as well as acquire a passport.
  6. IEN will take the patient from Jpan to the U.S. and escort the patient to the hotel.
  7. IEN will make reservations for the patient at reasonably priced, safe and clean hotel, conveniently located between the airport and the hospital. The hotel has a restaurant, pool, gym, laundry service and many other amenities on the premises.
  8. IEN will transport the patient to and from the doctor's office, hospotal and hotel.
  9. IEN bilingual stuff will manage all documentation necessary for registering the patient at the doctor's office and hospital.
  10. IEN bilingual stuff will interpret for the patient during all consultations with the ophthalmologist and surgery.
  11. IEN bilingual stuff will interpret follow-up care instructions for the patient and Japanese ophthalmologist, including insutructions for taking medication.
  12. IEN will assist patient in making recreational travel arragements during recovery period.
  13. IEN bilingual stuff will be 24 hours a day to assist patient in case of emergency.
